The aim of this module is to introduce candidates to the basic structures and processes involved in organisations in Ghana and to identify the impact of the business environment and how the information within the organisation is managed to support business objectives.
On completion of this module, candidates will reach a competency sufficient to be able to:

- Explain basic business organisational structures and processes
- Explain how the business environment influences business decisions
- Describe the business planning process, including the impact of behavioural issues
- Explain the basic operations of business functions
- Identify and explain how business information is managed
- Describe and apply basic business models to support management decisions
